My Wooden Cup

The thing I brought to school is a wooden cup from Finland. It is carved straight out of the wood so there are no bits stuck on it. My mum also has her name carved on it. I don’t know how she got it though. If you drink out of it, it tastes really woody.

  1. I like how you include detail, such as no bits stuck on and drinks tasting woody out of the cup. I enjoyed reading this. Can you ask your mum about why, where she got her name carved into the cup?

  2. Hello Everyone
I've just been reading through your blog - what great science things you have been doing - I think we might try the chunky chalk! We are really looking forward to being part of your quad for quad blogging. We may not have met but our class pets have as they met up when they were both visiting the Super Scoopers in Dunedin! Magnie is home with us at the moment but he's about to set off to visit a school in a different part of Scotland.
I think there are lots of links between New Zealand and Shetland as, in the past, many people from Shetland emigrated to New Zealand so lots of people have relations living in your country.
When you see our blog you will see that we are a very small island school - those are all the children in the blog header - you can see that Trev is in the picture too as he is visiting us at the moment.
Looking forward to finding out more about you and your learning.
