Cross Country Practice

This year the cross country is very long. The cross country goes out of school and down the
road. Along the way we saw a beautiful house and a huge pool on the deck. The bottom of my shoe was broken. I showed my teacher my broken shoe. After the practice it was lunch time.

It sounds as though your cross country was in a beautiful area. What a shame about your shoe getting broken. Could you mend it or did you have to get new shoes?

I am guessing that you got hot running. Did you think about jumping in the pool?

I hope you can get your shoe fixed before the cross country event.

Good luck for your real cross country race.

Wow! You have already started your cross country practice. We have not done that yet at our school.
I hope you do practise hard and win the race.

Hello JB,

I liked that you added a picture to your cross country story to help us see what the beautiful house looked like.

Wow! That sounds like a huge run. We are having our school's cross country in two weeks time.

We will start our cross country training next week. You are probably much fitter then we are. How far did you run? Will you get some new running shoes? I love your painting.

I'm impressed that you have started cross country already. The more practice you do the better and fitter you will be for the real day. Thank you for including a great picture of the house with the pool. It does look beautiful.

I bet your class will be doing a lot more cross country practice this week. That is how you get good at running and enjoy it more. It will be excellent when you feel great on race day and know you have done well.

Do you know how far you ran? It takes us half an hour to go round the track once.

We are just beginning our cross country training at our school in Dunedin! Any words of wisdom would be very much appreciated!
