100 word challenge

I woke up in terror, I felt like everything was going to hurt me after what had happened. I was shaking in horror, I just couldn't forget about it.

I was in my room, I could hear the roaring fire grow as my family screamed. I froze, I did nothing. The burning building started to collapse. I quickly jumped out of my window. I smacked onto the cold hard ground below. I couldn't move and then I saw a bright light. The next thing I knew I woke up here in a hospital. I got told where my family, they were gone and I was alone.

Your burning lava rushes down the hills.

It bubbles and explodes all over the place.

Your ashes settle down and starts to relax.

you leave everything in ashes and dust.

You burst without warning at first.

Why do you do it?

You  burn and kill.

It does not help us,

It does not even help you.

It was a cold, breezy night in Queens town. All the people were starving , their stomachs growling to every thought of food. There was nothing, nothing in the whole wide world. No dogs, no cats, and no food or water. You might be wondering , how did all this happen?


93years ago...
It was 2020, everyone was happy but deep down they all knew something was wrong and that horrible feeling wasn't just a feeling, it was what lies ahead in the future.

13years later...
The temperature was more hot than ever, there was no room for everyone, the population just kept on growing and the human race was getting closer and closer to its end, but one man tried to keep it going just for another 100 years or so. That man appeared on national T.V and he pointed out that there was too much people and the only way to fix it was a war. The bad part, every man and his dog were listening.

2years later...
Every country was at war, New Zealand vs Australia, England vs France and all the other countries were in training soon ready for battle. All the woman and children stayed home knowing that their loved ones would probably not return.

So we return to where there is nothing except the loud noise of the bombs crashing on the hard, dry cracked ground.

There are wives with children, grandparents with grandchildren, friends with family and there is me who caused this problem.

Cyber Safety

For topic this term we are learning about cyber saftey.

Cyber saftey is a useful thing to know, here I am going to tell you useful information.

What not to do online.Don't share any personal information about yourself, your first name is all they need to know, and don't sign up for anything where you have to lie about your age, it'll have an age limit for a reason. Most things are 13 and over, part of it is because some websites have things that are just plain gross and kids shouldn't see.

What to do online, listen carefully this information will help you get through online life :) . You could get hector dolphin it might seem lam but it will come in handy, if you see something that is inappropriate online just click hector dolphin so he can cover it up and get a parent to get rid of it.

 Nasty things online. Viruses, scans, and pop ups. Before I start telling you about these I'm going to tell you what to be aware of:
Trojans- are things that look good to you but are bad.
Web Catcher-People who hack into your camera and see what you are doing.
Viruses-are things that mess up your computer
Scams-advertisements and ads that trick you into thinking you'll win something valuable, but you won't its a scam!
Pop ups, pop ups are basically like scams, they're ads that will say something that sounds like a massive deal to you, for example: Some will say things like you've won  1 million dollars click here to claim your reward.
Emails, 1 thing you should never do is set your email to automatic opening, if you do you might open up an email that leads to a virus.

Cyber Bullying is bullying through texts, emails and other online texting. You should always think before you post, what you post could easily hurt other peoples feelings. Its not just texts and emails that can embarrass or hurt peoples feelings it can be videos too. So just post positive not negative and if you do get cyber bullied or see a friend or family member getting cyber bullied too, tell an adult they can deal with . Adults can also be cyber bullied its not just kids.

Help save the Kiwis!

 Help save the Kiwis!

In class we had to do an action, but before that we had to do an inquiry on birds. We chose to research about Kiwis. We then developed an interest in Kiwis. So for our action we grouped up together to help save Kiwis.

We had to book an appointment with our principal, Ms Neal. In the appointment we asked if we could fundraise for Kiwis. We told Ms Neal some of our ideas and she said yes about having a Mufti Day, "Yay". 

We booked our Mufti Day on the 17th of April, and our goal is to raise over $250 but on the last Mufti Day our school raised over $500 so we're very excited about it.  Our families are also donating to us, so that means even more money. All the money raised is going to the Department of Conservation.

To tell people in our school that we were having a Mufti Day, we wrote an article to go in the newsletter and we put posters around the school. We also announced it in our school assembly which we have every Friday.     

We hope that we raise as much money as we can to save Kiwis. We know that Kiwis are endangered and we'd hate to see them go.
